Location: Sheffield Office – covering Yorkshire & Midlands (with occasional national travel)

Hours: 08:00 – 16:30 (Monday to Friday)

Salary: £26,000 – £34,000 (depending on experience) + company vehicle, training, and benefits

SCC Air Compressors UK is expanding, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Junior Field Service Engineer to join our team in Sheffield. This role is ideal for someone who has recently completed an apprenticeship or has early experience within engineering or compressed air service work.

You’ll receive full product and technical training, working closely with our experienced team to build your skills and knowledge across installation, servicing, and maintenance of compressed air systems.

Your Mission

You’ll be supporting our service engineers and distributor network across Yorkshire, the Midlands and occasionally nationally, learning all aspects of the trade as you develop towards becoming a fully independent engineer. Your main duties will include:

  • Assisting with installation, servicing, and maintenance of compressors and air treatment equipment
  • Supporting breakdown response and routine service work
  • Helping with site surveys and service reporting
  • Learning fault-finding and diagnostics alongside senior engineers
  • Providing excellent customer support and communication

Occasional travel and overnight stays may be required.

What You Bring

  • Recently qualified apprentice or junior engineer (mechanical or electrical discipline)
  • Genuine interest in learning about compressed air systems and industrial equipment
  • Practical, hands-on approach with attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to travel and work away when needed
  • Full UK driving licence (or working towards obtaining one)
