Oil-water separator

Compressors usually produce large quantities of condensate that is contaminated with oil. By law, this liquid may not be disposed of untreated into the sewage system or the environment. SCC offers the OWS series of oil-water separators, which remove oil contamination from the condensate so reliably that the water contains no more than 20 mg/l hydrocarbons and can therefore be disposed of in the sewage system.
TWIN concept
With our unique TWIN concept, you have the option of doubling or tripling the amount of condensate to be treated or improving the quality of the waste water. You can expand the system at any time, not just during the initial installation.
Mode of action:
- After this process, the condensate can be disposed of in the sewage system or can be further treated in accordance with national legislation
- The condensate flows through a pressure relief chamber (LD) into the separator
- The condensate then runs through a filter through the opening in the lid (LD) into the separator tank (BD)
- A pre-filter (PF) and activated carbon bag (CF) clean the condensate of oil and solid particles

The data refer to the following standard conditions:
- Ambient temperature: +25 ° C
- Operating pressure: 7 bar(g)
Bear in mind that you will need to size the oil-water separators larger if the ambient temperature and humidity are higher than the standard conditions for screw compressors.
