SCC Air Compressors UK continues to expand, and we’re looking for a motivated and technically minded Sales Engineer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with both our UK distributor network and key end-user customers, helping drive awareness and demand for our Smart, Clever & Cost-efficient range of compressors, systems and services.

Your Mission

You’ll take a proactive approach to developing new business opportunities while supporting our established distributor partners. A key aspect of the role will be engaging directly with key accounts and end users to generate new projects, drive service growth, and strengthen our UK presence — all in close collaboration with our distribution network.

  • Supporting and developing SCC’s UK distributor network to achieve sales and service growth targets
  • Identifying and engaging key end-user opportunities to drive product and service demand
  • Providing technical advice and solutions to distributors and end users
  • Conducting site visits, customer meetings, and technical or CPD-style presentations
  • Collaborating with internal teams on project proposals, marketing initiatives and specifications
  • Delivering accurate sales forecasting, pipeline tracking, and market reporting
  • Monitoring market activity, competitor presence and customer requirements
  • Representing SCC at trade shows, industry events and partner exhibitions
  • Travelling across the UK as required (some overnight stays)

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in technical or engineering-based sales, ideally within compressed air, industrial, or mechanical sectors
  • A practical understanding of engineering systems and customer applications
  • Strong relationship-building skills with distributors and end-user clients
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to create value-led solutions
  • Self-motivated and organised, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK, with some overnight stays
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ideally educated to HND/Degree level or with equivalent hands-on experience in engineering or sales
